The Industrial Manifesto!

This is why we fight.

"Revolution he contemplated, of course; but the processes of revolution have always been the same, and to lead men into them there have always been required, first, a cause or pretence to enlist adherents; second, and end, or something as a practical achievement. As a rule he fights well who has wrongs to redress; but vastly better fights he who, with wrongs as a spur, has also steadily before him a glorious result in prospect - a result in which he can discern balm for wounds, compensation for valour, remembrance and gratitude in the event of death." (Lew Wallace, Ben Hur, 1880)

In the planning and the thoughts that have gone into the Industrial Revolution2.0, these words could have very well been written and reflect the viewpoint expressed within the movement absolutely. What is our cause for which we fight? To bring about a fundamental change in the way business is conducted and to return this country to the glory of being a industrial titan amongst mere mortal men. This is the Alpha and Omega of the Revolution - change and dominate the world. Will many perish in the struggle? Unfortunately the answer is yes. But we are the ones who must decide whether we should to take back what is ours' or whether we want to die a slow death as the jobs and manufacturing capabilities of this great country go elsewhere. That is just business in a revolutionary sense of the term.

Manufacture or die will be our battle cry as we change corporate culture from the bottom-up. We will force the CEO', COO's, CIO's and other C-class bourgeoisie to implement lessons learned in their change management seminars. We, the empowered workers, will bring about this change and we will take back all that we have lost. And in doing so eliminate this C-class of individuals who know little if anything what is required to conduct a manufacturing operation. The money saved by the elimination of this class can be distributed amongst those actually make a product that a customer will see or touch. In each year that follows, this money can be used to upgrade equipment, develop new processes, hire more workers, etc.

"Revolution is not the uprising against pre-existing order, but the setting up of a new order contradictory to the traditional one." (Jose Ortega y Gassett, Revolt of the Masses, 1929)

This is indeed the case, and amongst the many reasons why this is the time for the Industrial Revolution2.0. What is taught in institutes of higher education is false and it has become the time in which a change is made in the corporate mentality that dominates the world of business. The first course of action may be to eliminate Wall Street, which is nothing more than a legalized form of gambling. You have or may ask, "Where will the money come from to invest in new machinery, develop new products, etc?" With the removal of C-class employees, money will be freed up to be used to better the workplace and improve the standard of living of the working class. Another means of acquiring these necessary funds is to sell more. And "how does one sell more in this global economy?" you may be asking. That is quite simple, crush the competition totally and utterly - out produce them, out market them, and undercut their prices. There is nothing that will boost the bottom line better than increasing what is going out the door. And this is lesson that seems to have been lost in the era of lean enterprise where a company will only produce what is sold and has no incentive to do more than what is the bare minimum to survive. What does lean do to promote growth in a sector? Not one single thing. It is subsistence manufacturing, which is like sitting around and waiting to die. Does the manufacturing sector wish to die? The hard-working men and women who do the work do not wish for a premature death. Do the C-class individuals wish for this to happen? Well, that would depend on how their contracts are worded and whether or not there is a golden parachute at the end of the rainbow.

We are the visionaries who look to change the future. We are those who are brave enough to venture into this new frontier. We are the revolutionaries who will bring about this change. The time to act is now. The need for change is now. The Revolution begins now.
