Netscape Communicator Settings

4.7 Mail Settings

1. From the Start menu, point to Netscape Communicator and choose Netscape Navigator.
2. From the menu bar, click Edit and choose Preferences.
3. From Mail & Groups click the Identity link.
4. In the Your Name text box, type your full name.
5. In the E-Mail Address text box, type in your Winbeam E-Mail address (i.e., username@winbeam.net
6. From Mail & Groups click the Mail Server link.
7. In the Mail server user name text box, type your WinBeam E-Mail name.
8. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type mail.winbeam.com
9. In the Incoming mail server text box, type mail.winbeam.com
10. Select POP3 (messages and folders are kept locally, on the hard disk)
11. Click the OK button to save your new settings.
12. Send E-Mail s to those with whom you correspond to notify them of your E-Mail address (i.e. username@winbeam.com)

Netscape Communicator 6 Mail Settings

1. From the Start menu, go to Netscape 6.
2. Once in Netscape 6, select Tasks / Mail to start the mail program.
3. From the mail program menu bar, click Edit and choose Mail/News Account Settings.
4. In the Account Name text box, type winbeam.net
5. In the E-Mail Address text box, enter your WinBeam username@ winbeam.com
6. Click on Outgoing (SMTP) Server
7. In the Server Name text box, type mail.winbeam.com
8. Click the OK button to save your new settings.
9. Send E-Mail s to those with whom you correspond to notify them of your E-Mail address (i.e. username@winbeam.com).
