District Governor Visits Waynesburg Lions

The District Governor visited the Lions Club of Waynesburg August 20, 2009,
which was our family picnic and was told to come casual. We thought since he
is a "painter" we had a little paint job for him to finish. He was dressed
in cover-alls and sent to the roof of the pavilion.  The cover-alls were
slightly small for him and he had to have help getting into them.  He liked
the painters hat so much he gave his speech in it. Lion Murray Williams was
there to supervise as can be seem in the photo.  The Governor was a good
sport about it, and seemed to like the idea of getting paid in food.  That
boy can eat.

Tom Briar presented a check for $10,000 to our CEO, Dennis Steiner.  These funds were generated from the Confluence Lions National Road Chainsaw Carving Festival and will support the services of the Somerset County Blind Center; a Division of SABVI.
